Lamar Community College men's basketball team had another successful season. Coming with that success are current players continuing their playing and academic careers at the 4-year level.
Jubrile Belo of London, England, and Barking Abbey Academy, will be attending Montana State University. Jubrile was a fall signee signing back in November. Jubrile graduated this spring with an Associate of Arts in general studies.
Brevin Brimble of Colorado Springs, and Doherty High School, signed with Tiffin University this spring where he will continue to be a success. Brev came to Lamar after a medical red-shirt at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Jake Haertl of Lakewood, Colorado, and Green Mountain High School, has signed to play at Southwestern University in Winfield, Kansas. Jake was with the Lopes for two years. While his first year he red-shirted in the program, Jake graduated this spring with an Associate of Arts in business.
Paul Fitzgerald of Perry, Georgia, and Westfield High School, will continue his playing career at Birmingham Southern University in Birmingham, Alabama. Paul came to Lamar from Andrew College in Georgia. Fitzgerald finished his Associate of Arts degree this spring.
Keondre Weinend of Thornton, Colorado, and Thornton High School, will be attending New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Dre was a part of the program for two years after transferring from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Dre received has Associate of Arts in art this spring.
Jared Garcia of Denver, Colorado, and Kennedy High School, will be attending Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas. Jerad was part of our JV program where he was very successful.
