Blayton Williams a 6'3 point guard from West Memphis, Arkansas made it official by signing with Wisconsin Green Bay in the Horizon League in the November early signing period. Green Bay is a division 1 school that competes in a very competitive Horizon league with the likes of Northern Kentucky, UW-Milwaukee, and Wright State among others. Blayton is coming off a first year where he averaged 7.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 2.6 apg. Blayton is also an outstanding student. He has an overall GPA of 3.8 and is vice president of the Phi Theta Kappa.

Williams has had a great start to his sophomore campaign with the Lopes. Averaging 12.3 ppg, 5.4 rpg and dishing out 3.8 apg. Blayton has had some monster games on the road to help the Runnin Lopes get off to an 8-5 mark with a very tough non-league schedule. Had 24 points at #5 South Plains College (TX), 25 points at Garden City Community College (KS), and 17 points at preseason top 20 opponent in Snow College (UT). All these performances led to wins for Lamar.

Blayton will look to continue his success for the Lopes with 4 games schedule here in December. Blayton and his teammates look forward to region 9 play starting in January after the holiday break.
